Vaccinations

Influenza

Pneumococcal (Prevenar 13V)

  • Taken once a year to protect against changing flu strains.

  • The virus spreads through respiratory droplets from coughing, sneezing, or talking, as well as direct contact with contaminated surfaces.

  • Protect against Streptococcus pneumoniae infections like pneumonia, meningitis, and bloodstream infections.

  • Infants (Below 6 months) – 3 doses + 1 booster (at 2, 4, 6, and 12–15 months)

  • Children (7 months to 5 years) – 1 to 2 doses depending on age

  • Adults (50 years & above) or High-Risk Individuals – Single dose

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis B

  • Protects against liver infection caused by the Hepatitis A virus (HAV), which spreads through contaminated food, water, or close contact with an infected person.

  • Children (12 months & above) & Adults – 2 doses (given 6–12 months apart) for long-term protection.

  • Protect against Hepatitis B virus (HBV), which can cause chronic liver disease, cirrhosis, and liver cancer. The virus spreads through blood, bodily fluids, and from mother to baby at birth. 

  • Infants - 3 doses (at birth, 1 month & 6 months)

  • Children & Adults - 3 doses (0, 1 & 6 months)

  • High-Risk Individuals - May require a booster dose based on antibody levels.

Human Papillomavirus / HPV
(Gardasil-9)

  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is a common virus that can cause genital warts and various cancers, including cervical, anal, and throat cancer.

  • Ages 9-14: 2 doses (at 0 & 6-12 months)

  • Ages 15 & above: 3 doses (at 0, 1-2 & 6 months)

Anti-Tetanus Toxoid

  • Anti-Tetanus Toxoid (ATT) vaccine helps protect against tetanus, a serious bacterial infection that affects the nerves and muscles.

  • For complete protection: 5 doses (at 0, 1, 6, 12, and 60 months)

  • For wound management: A booster dose may be given if the last dose was more than 5–10 years ago.
